IN BED WITH
Thornetta Davis was crowned "Detroit's Queen of Blues" in 2015, but her reign is far-reaching. Belting the blues since 1987, Thornetta has performed with Kid Rock, opened for Ray Charles and Etta James, had her song "Cry" appear on The Soprano's, and most recently, took home a 2017 Blues Blast Award for her album "Honest Woman".
Thornetta and her jewels (she's the designer!) met us on a fall Detroit day to sing a few songs from her award-winning album and wow us with a voice both heartbreaking and hopeful. Detroit, you got yourself a good one.
